The LGIHA regular season runs from September 2024 to early March 2025.

Our association welcomes female players aged 5 - 20 years old (birthdate cut-off Dec 31, 2024).

Returning LGIHA Players

Player lives in Langley and played minor hockey with Langley Girls Ice Hockey Association last season.

We use Team Snap for our registration which requires all registrants to have their Hockey Canada ID number in order to complete registration. If you don't know your Hockey Canada ID number, click here for more information on how to find it.

How to Register

1. Log on to Team Snap: 2024/25 Registration Form

2. Follow the steps once logged in to complete your registration.

Important things to remember:

Please ensure the home address the system shows is current and will match the proof of residency you may be required to submit.
If you wish to PAY-IN-FULL using your credit card, you must make sure the "Pay by Installment" is set to OFF.
An automatic INSTALLMENT PAYMENT PLAN is available to members choosing to use their credit card online. Members will be billed a $250 non-refundable deposit (please refer to the LGIHA Registration Refund Policy) for each player at the time of check-out and automatic installments will be processed in 2024 on the following dates: July 15 and August 15. If this is your preference, please make sure the "Pay by Installment" is set to ON.
Payment by credit card will incur a 2.79% + $0.99 processing fee that will be automatically charged by TeamSnap at the time of payment.
e-transfers are accepted. Transfer the full amount owed to treasurer@lgiha.com, specifying the "Registration fee for <player name>" in the e-transfer message.

Players New to Hockey

Player lives in Langley and has never played minor hockey before.

1. Complete the Form141-PCAHA Player Registration Form.
2. Provide a copy of the player’s birth certificate.
3. Provide two proof of residence documents from the following list:

DOCUMENT 1 - Must be ONE of the following:

*HOMEOWNERS - 2024 Property Tax Notice (full page is required with the address at the top and bottom visible). Please note that LGIHA cannot accept your Property Assessment... please wait until you have received your 2024 Property Tax Notice before submitting.

*RENTERS - Current Lease or Rental Agreement (full signed agreement required - all pages)

DOCUMENT 2 - Must be ONE of the following and must not be more than TWO months old:

*Current hydro, gas, water, cable, satellite, or phone bill

*Proof of Home or Rental Insurance (structure/contents insurance)

*BC Medical Statement

*School Registration (confirming child's primary address)

*Vehicle Insurance Papers with Corresponding Drivers Licence (must be submitted together)

Email documents from Steps 1, 2 & 3 to the registrar at registrar@lgiha.com.
The registrar will contact you and advise you about online registration.

Players Transferring from Another Association

Player lives in Langley now and was registered with another minor hockey association in the past.

Complete the Form141-PCAHA Player Registration Form.
Complete the Application for Player Movement form.
- Have this form signed by the registrar from your previous association.
Provide a copy of the player’s birth certificate.
Provide three (3) proof of residence documents from the following list:
- Utility bills (BC Hydro, Gas)
- Property tax statement, rental agreement, tenant insurance
- Cable, Internet, Phone bill
- Car Insurance, Driver's License
- School registration, confirming address
- GST statement, income tax assessment, child tax credit
Email documents from Steps 1, 2, 3 & 4 to the registrar at registrar@lgiha.com.
The registrar will contact you once the player has been approved for player movement.
An additional $15 transfer fee is payable online or by cheque to LGIHA.

Rep Team Try-Out: Returning LGIHA Players

LGIHA will have Rep Teams for U13, U15, and U18 in the 2024/25 season.

Register as a returning player, express your interest in trying out for a Rep Team on the Registration Form, and pay a $175 rep try-out fee.

Rep Team try-out registration deadline: July 31, 2024

Rep try-outs will be held at Langley Sportsplex Arena. Dates and Times: TBA

Try-out fees are non-refundable.
Rep Team Try-out is optional; House Team evaluations are separate.
For all “A” Teams, LGIHA ensures that the roster is a minimum of two-thirds Langley resident players and, therefore, no more than one-third of players from a neighbouring Female Association.

Rep Team Try-Out: Non-LGIHA Players

LGIHA will have Rep Teams for U13, U15, and U18 in the 2024/25 season.

If a player lives outside of Langley (or plays for Langley Minor Hockey) and their home association does not have a Female Rep Team for their age division (or, in the case of LMHA, does not offer a Female Rep Team), they can try out for the LGIHA Rep Team in their age division.

Players must register with their home association before July 31 to be eligible to try out for an outside association rep team.

Rep Team try-out registration deadline: July 31, 2024

Complete the Preliminary Try-out Approval form and have this form signed by the registrar from the player's home association.
Email the document from step 1 to the registrar at registrar@lgiha.com.
Once the registrar approves, register for try-outs using the link when available.
If you are accepted for a Rep Team, complete the Application for Player Movement (must be signed by the home association registrar) and the PCAHA Registration Certificate.
The registrar will contact you once the player has been approved for player movement.
There is an additional $15 transfer fee payable by e-transfer to treasurer@lgiha.com.
If you are not selected for the Rep Team, you will return to your home association to join a House Team.
All Rep Team try-outs will be held at Langley Sportsplex Arena. Dates, times, and rinks TBA.

Rep Team Try-Out: LGIHA Player to Another Association

LGIHA will have Rep Teams for U13, U15, and U18 in the 2024/25 season.

Those Players interested in playing on an A team in divisions where LGIHA does not offer a Rep Team can try out with a neighbouring association who does offer a Rep Team for their age division.

Register as a returning Player with LGIHA. Players must register with their home association before July 31 to be eligible to tryout for an outside association Rep Team.
Try out in a neighbouring association (Abbotsford, Surrey, or Meadow Ridge) offering a Rep Team in their age division.
The Player is required to submit a completed Preliminary Tryout Approval form to the LGIHA registrar at registrar@lgiha.com for an approval signature.
If the Player is not selected for the Rep Team they try out for in a neighbouring association, they will return to LGIHA to be assigned to a House Team.

Dust the Rust Conditioning Camp

Dust off those rusty hockey muscles on the ice with expert conditioning coaches after a summer away from the rink.

Age Divisions: U7 & U9, U11, U13, U15, U18

When: Monday August 26 - Thursday August 29, 2024.

Where: Langley Sportsplex Arena

Cost: Players $150, Goalies: $75

High Performance Summer Camp

Join us for a daily on-ice practice with expert skills and conditioning coaches, followed by a yoga session after practice.

Age Divisions: U13, U15, U18

When: Monday August 19 - Thursday August 22, 2024.

Where: Langley Sportsplex Arena

Cost: U13, U15 - Player $250, Goalie $125; U18 - Player $175, Goalie $85

Important Information

Registration does not guarantee player's a spot on a team. While our common goal is to ensure that every player has a spot, if teams are full, players will be placed on a waitlist in the order their registration is complete.

PLAYERS ARE NOT CONSIDERED REGISTERED UNTIL PAYMENT ONLINE (through TeamSnap) OR VIA ETRANSFER HAS BEEN RECEIVED.

PLAYERS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE ICE UNTIL ALL REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED, PROCESSED, AND WHEN APPLICABLE, LEAGUE APPROVALS HAVE BEEN OBTAINED.

* Goaltenders in age divisions U11 and up, who provide their own equipment, must still complete the registration form but are charged $0 if they commit to playing full-time in net.

Per Hockey Canada's Development Pathway, there are not dedicated goalies per team for the younger age divisions; at U7 & U9, goaltending opportunities are rotated evenly among all players using equipment provided by the association.

The 'Registration' fee does not cover additional 'Team' fees. Teams collect funds for each player to cover additional costs for tournaments, socks, referee fees, wind-up parties, trophies, etc.
- The registration fee does not cover deposits (e.g., post-dated cheques) for volunteer hour requirements and jerseys.
Increased fees after July 31 are only applicable to returning players.
Rep tryouts are optional. This fee is non-refundable if you declare your intent by registering to try out. Rep carding fees are not included in this posting and are in addition to any fees listed on this page. To qualify for a rep team, you must register by July 31.
If registering a 3rd child within LGIHA, registration for the youngest child will be given a 50% discount.
For 'Transferring Players', an additional $15 transfer fee is charged by PCAHA to be e-transferred to LGIHA.
A further $25 fee will be added to all registrations completed after September 15.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

All fees are due and payable at registration unless you have chosen an installment plan where the $250 deposit is due at registration and equal installment payments are due on the accepted schedule (July 15 and August 15).
Payment by credit card will incur a 2.79% + $0.99 processing fee that TeamSnap will automatically charge at the time of payment
Registration will not be considered complete or processed until payment is received.
Payment plan requests can be submitted for approval to the treasurer at treasurer@lgiha.com

Online by credit card (Visa or Mastercard only) when registering (pay in full or installment option).
E-transfer to treasurer@lgiha.com (transfer payments must be in full)

Refund Policy

Refund requests must be received in writing via email to the treasurer at treasurer@lgiha.com
The refund cheque will be mailed to the player’s home address as indicated in the Hockey Canada Registry or the fees will be refunded to the credit card used for registration.
Requests for refunds can be made in writing for medical or extenuating circumstances, which will be prorated if approved by the association.
